At Sabius, we have created a new support system to ensure independent workers spend less time on the mundane and more time doing what they love. We are navigating this exploding economy by adopting new technology and deploying automation and artificial intelligence.

Our Freelance Economy is growing at a rate so fast that independent workers will be a majority of the U.S. workforce by 2027. The economy has changed and freelancers are now it’s heartbeat.

Jason Anthony

Founder and CEO

Jason Anthony has over 20 years experience in the freelancer economy. His first freelance gig was at the age of 12 for the creative department at one of Florida’s largest city newspapers. Jason’s sales and consulting background includes working with clients such as UPMC, Heritage Valley Health System, Allegheny Health Network, Westinghouse, and Constellation Energy Group. He has partnered with global corporations and institutions like the US Rowing Association and Siemens on strategic growth and development initiatives and has worked with a variety of national and international not-for-profit organizations in the healthcare and economic development sectors. Jason’s business expertise and consulting ingenuity have earned him recognition in a number of global media outlets including CBS, Parents, and Business Insider. 

John Quayle

Chief Operating Officer
John is a Pittsburgh based entrepreneur, investor, advisor, and startup community leader – working in a number of different industries and with clients such as: Economic Development (Innovate PGH, Thrival Festival), Venture Capital (Active X-it), Manufacturing (Oldham Gas), Education (Carnegie Mellon University). As the unofficial eyes & ears of the Pittsburgh startup scene, John is deeply connected into the region through his media brand (StartNow Pittsburgh) and his previous work developing StartUp Weekends, TEDx events, and various activities in the nonprofit community.  

Doug Rogers

Product and Marketing

Doug is a financial technology designer, entrepreneur and evangelist.  Doug spent 12 years at PNC in financial, investment banking and capital markets roles.  He has a deep understanding of both consumer banking and enterprise sales to some of the country’s largest companies.  Doug is currently an Adviser at Idea Foundry, a Pittsburgh accelerator focused on building a portfolio of successful impact-driven technology companies.  Doug also co-leads Pittsburgh Fintech, a member organization growing the connections between financial institutions and technology startups, and he is a regular guest at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon.

Shannon Gregg, MBA.

Strategic Partnerships

Shannon J. Gregg is an aficionado of sales technology and is known as a change agent, particularly in M&A environments (VC/PE), with a successful track record of integrating process, product/service pricing and pricing methodologies, and notably, global teams, with cultural sensitivity. Organizations like the Department of Energy, Department of Defense and companies like Raytheon and Lockheed Martin have all utilized her skillset and expertise.  


Brad Knapp, CFA, CAIA

With 20 years of experience directly managing and advising multi-generational and institutional investment portfolios, Brad currently oversees the investments within the Private Client division of Clearstead.  Prior to joining Clearstead, Brad worked for Hawthorn/PNC Family Wealth, Key Private Bank, and McDonald & Company Securities where he served in various capacities, including portfolio manager and equity research analyst. Brad earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from John Carroll University.  He currently holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designations.  Brad currently serves as a Trustee for Marymount Health Care Systems, the McGregor Home, and the Samuel & Maria Miller Foundation.

Elizabeth Wexler, Esq.

Ms. Wexler is a graduate of the University of South Florida, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. She attended law school at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Tampa, Florida, which merged with Western Michigan University. During her law school career, Ms. Wexler interned with the State Attorney Office Twelfth Judicial Circuit, Misdemeanor Division in Sarasota, participated in Moot Court and was a member Phi Delta Phi – Castor Inn. Ms. Wexler has established herself in the community through her philanthropic work and continues to be involved in the community. She has been on many boards in Sarasota, FL, from School Boards to Non- For- Profits, mostly as Fundraising Chair. She was also Chairman of the Board for Make-A-Wish, Sarasota and sat on the Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida Board in Orlando, Florida.

Chuck Oshurak

Charles A. Oshurak is a Partner with Arnett Carbis Toothman LLP. Chuck provides specialized accounting, assurance, and advisory related services to clients in a wide range of industries.  Prior to joining the Firm, Chuck spent more than 16 years working for national and regional firms where he served both public and privately held companies. Chuck earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Education in Business Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, graduating magna cum laude.  He is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ACIPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). He also serves as Treasurer of MIT Enterprise Forum Pittsburgh and was the Technical Programming Chair of the Pittsburgh EACUBO Accounting Workshop (2009-2016) and Finance Committee Chair (2011-2014) of the American Cancer Society Premier Pittsburgh Golf Outing.

Brett Fulesday

Brett Fulesday has more than 15 years of experience as a business and financial analyst — specifically, by providing valuation and litigation-support services for public and privately-held, early-stage and mature, companies.  He has performed valuation services for purposes of financial and tax reporting, gift and estate tax reporting and planning, dissenting shareholder litigation and general corporate planning.  Brett is driven by intellectual curiosity — a desire to continue to learn.  To that end, he pours his energy and effort into the areas of arts, education and entrepreneurship.
